Is it my imagination or is McDonald's coffee some of the worst tasting stuff on the planet? I mean if you put a single creamer and three sugar packets in it then it shouldn't still be bitter right? I mean seriously.

Gack.

*sigh*

*Falls over laughing* What, are you kidding? When did McDonalds begin serving anything much resembling food?

Is there anything on the McVomits menu that doesn't have the Adams-nature?

"Almost, but not quite, entirely unlike tea."

By the by, I just wanted to tell you that 3 of the 4 ladies in my party, self included, is looking forward to your Victorian party. Rachelle particularly is eager, as she had the oppertunity to play various characters in a Titanic exhibit at her local museum, and did alot of research into style and fashion of the day. The 4th young woman may not be as eager yet, but does not know that the other three are secretly plotting to converge on her like a flock of hens, and dress her anyway.

Two of us are going to look outstanding, one of us is going to look passable, and the apprentice may look disheveled and confused. My husband is proving difficult. He doesn't have alot of costume stuff, nor does he have a suit to fake it with. I was going to scan the second hand stores for a double breasted vest and hope for the western look.

Michaels often has inexpensive tux shirts for sale...
or...
take a regular white dress shirt, flip the collar up(its helps to starch it) take a wide wide mens tie and tie it in a double granny knot(like tieing shoes but pull the bows out) lay the thinner end under the wider end and secure with stick pin or a nice tietack...tuck end into vest top(the higher the neckline onthe vest the better this looks)

viola a nice ascot look with no ascot sewwing...

or you can make a cravat and tie it(just like a modern bowtie-it is where it came from)

any vest with a straight bottom hem is period, but just wearing a vest will help with the look...

I have tons of costuming ideas, just let me know what you need help on...

Way back when I did morning gigs for the radio station, we had to appear at a few MickeyD's. They offered us all the coffee we could drink for free.

We went next door to the Starbucks every time.

Their coffee is the worse tasting stuff on the planet. One day, I had a large coffee and I put, I kid you not, fifteen sugars and seven creamers in it and it *still* tasted like it was black, bitter coffee.

bite your tongue!

bite your tongue knave. what they serve at mcdonalds does NOT taste like any genre of self-respecting coffee whatever. As an avowed coffee fanatic of broad and sometimes indiscreet consumption, I can firmly attest to the fact that from Turkish to Javaneese to Blue Mountain to Navy, they are all of a family. what is served at mcdonalds (and, to a SLIGHTLY lesser extent, BK, Wendy's, Arby's) is excommunicate, disinherited, disavowed, and beyond any shadow of a doubt, NOT in the coffee family.

(yes, I'm the one who, on hearing the Lethal Dose of caffeine, was most earnest in determining whether that was in one sitting, or one morning...)
