unwanted tag-alongs
Jan. 14th, 2007 12:24 pmIts an old trend but it seems to have become even more popular as of late. Software that is free or popular will by default install other software onto your Windows machine. Adobe brings its Photo Organizer. Skype brings some plugins for IE and Firefox, most of the instant messenger clients bring a Toolbar for either Firefox or IE. Google is bad about this as well.

I don't mind you giving me the option. I just wish you would make it opt-out by DEFAULT instead of an opt-in. If I'm in a hurry, I get your crappy software unless I take the time to make sure I click a few buttons.
