vernardAs an operating system kernel, Windows Vista is not impressive at all. No major changes that are worth the upgrade.
As an operating system environment, its not too shabby. They have managed to rehash old technologies into their mainstream environment fairly seamlessly. However, it should be more appropriately named Service Pack 5 for Windows XP rather than Vista. Again, not worth the price of admission.
But what do I know about operating systems anyway......
