So I have finally gotten one of my linux boxen at work to successfully use the dual head configuration with my video card (Nvidia Twinview nonsense for those that know that that is). So I have a three monitor station now. I'm using x2vnc to connecto my windows desktop for my leftmost monitor and using linux to drive the center and right monitor. So far this is working nicely. I just need need to do some finagling to get all two linux monitors to be the exact same size/brand/model so that the desktop is a bit more seamless. It works but its a bit disconcerting to drag a window from the center screen which is 1280x1024 to a smaller window that is 1024x768 on the right. Ideally 3 17" flat screens would be cool. I'll settle for a single 17" and 2 flanking 15" monitors for the moment. But I'm definitely on the hunt in our inventory and spare desks to see what we can finagle.
