So I just swapped out my 21" LCD flatpanel display for two 17" LCD flat panel displays. The person who inherited my 21" panel thought it was quite odd for me to want smaller displays. I tried to explain to her that the bigger monitor had about 4 inches of bezel on it that was useless and due to the way the stand was designed, ended up taking up useless space. The 17" panels that I use now have only about a half inch of bezel on them so less space is being used. Also the actual amount of real esate available on two 17" panels is greather than that for the 21" panel. I'd rather have a single ultra-wide panel but we don't have any of those in the department and they aren't gong to spend thousands of dollers on one for me since I'm a temporary employee.

Now I just need to get my dual-headed video card in so that I can actually use the 2nd monitor.

My cunning plan is slowly coming to fruition!
