I was blind but now I see....

vernardTurns out that my roommate is pretty good with fixing things. He did a lot of model/figurine work and is quite handle with a tube of Krazy Glue(tim). So I can see again and the world looks that much better. I really do need to budget for some new glasses. As a matter of fact, I'll be working on my budget later today and trying to do that. Sad that a single man with no dependents and a full-time job can't afford to buy his own spectacles. I'm such a slacker.
In other news, I got a chance to play Everquest again. Its been quite some time and I rejoined recently to help my guild decide if they wanted to do a merger with two other guilds. Its not a big thing really but I spent many years of my life helping to build my guild and before I left the game it was really coming into its own. THere is an opportunity again for it to be impressive but its going to have to do it without me. I'm just here to help get it jumpstarted. It was nice to get a chance to chat with some folks I haven't chatted with in literally over a year. And they were all quite surprised to see me online. But one things seemed to be very constant, oiver half of the folks that I talked to had failed marriages. I'd love to blame it on EQ but its about communication and lack of understanding. Forever is a mightly long time and I don't think we as a people really grok it when it comes to marriage. It seems like more and more folks have at least one "starter marriage" just to figure out what it is supposed to mean.
But I digress.
The ice outside is melting. Lieutenant was properly introduced to it and was non too pleased about it. She doesn't like the cold. She spent that night sleeping between my knees curled up for warmth. She also would occasionally reach out and snag the "family jewels". I would love to believe that was simply her stretching while she made herself comfortable for sleep but its more likely that she was returning the love for having her paws be placed on cold,wet, slippery surfaces. Cats are funny like that.

trincula to the interesting but sometimes full of too much drama world of Livejournal. Feel free to nose around her journal. She's a bit shy to strangers but she can warm up quickly if she thinks you are her type of person. If you can figure out where the hell she got her LJ name then you are probably the right "type of person". (We will ignore the fact that I was more than a bit clueless about it myself for now.)
oh yeah, and the power at my apartment died again. *sigh* At least it was during the day this time and it was only out for two hours. I should have used that time to read more phd papers but I ended up spending it on the phone instead. Such is life.
Anyway, gonna eat and get some fun in and then get back tow work. I can see my car from here and it actually appears to have mostly thawed out now. I can actually dirve somewhere if I need to.
