Medical Update!
Sep. 1st, 2006 10:24 amTwo updates in the same week. I know, the world must be coming to an end. I figure if it didn't happen after I left GA Tech, it ain't ever going to happen.
Got the results of the Wednesday test back. Blood sugar level was at 200. Doctor was quite happy. Test today registered at 130. Doc Peeler said that was damned near perfect. I have also lost about 2.5 pounds since Monday. He's happy about that too. My cholesterol is at a healthy level for normal folks but since I'm diabetic he wants me to get it lower so he put me on Simustatin. And he gave me some rules on my meds to let me know how to regulate my blood sugar level without having to go to insulin. I'm still going to take diabetes classes where they will teach me how to stab myself with a needle but that is more as a "just in case".
That "hard to kill" genetic trait is really really useful. I just hope its strong enough get me through DragonCon this weekend :-)
