At the request of [livejournal.com profile] technoshaman, here are the 5 songs that mean a lot or that I listen to a lot.

"That Train" by Don Conoscenti
Lovely lyrics and I'm a sucker for acoustic guitar. I still argue that he is one of the best unknown songwriters in the business. Its a song about obsession in ones life and how that can lead you down the road to darkness. This song helped get me back on the right track recently when I had begun to stray.

"Goodbye To You" by Michelle Branch
This song I most associate with me finally moving on with my life after my wife left me. Its a turning point kind of song. Reminds me that I'm more in control than things might appear. This song is the one I also most associate with my ex-wife. It kinda sums up the reason she left me.

"Galileo" by Indigo Girls
This is my theme song in some respects. I guess it amuses me to think that all the things that I have trouble with are just the after effects of a past life. And that things I do now will be significant in the next go around. Not that I believe in reincarnation or anything. Just that it ammuses me.

"A Pirate Looks at 40" by Jimmy Buffet
I'm an honorary parrot head of sorts. Love his music but have yet to go to a concert. That's one of the things I'm going to remedy this year. In any event, this song is introspective and reflects how I feel some days. Like I just don't belong in this era.

"1000 Words" by Kouda Kumi (from Final Fantasy X-2 Sound Track)
It reminds me of [livejournal.com profile] zorathenne 'Nuff said.
