New Year's Eve: A change of plans

Usually on New Year's Eve, I'm with the local margarita_fri and partyatvernards crowd at someone's house whooping it up. However, that will most likely not be the case this year.

There has been a bit of a famly emergency and I'll be spending most of the day helping my brother Vincent move out of his house and into mine. The reasons why are not very pleasant and I won't got into the sordid details at this point. Feel free to call me on my cell if you feel you need more information.

In any event, I will most likely be spending New Year's Eve helping him get settled into my place. He'll be staying with me for about 3 months but might be moving earlier depending on how his hunt for a new place goes.

what this means is that I won't be able to attend or host any New Year's Eve events. I'll miss seeing many of you but I trust that each and every one of you will ring in the New Year with zest and joy as always. Don't let my absence stop you from whooping it up :-)

I imagine this has something to do with things we discussed recently. My sympathies for the situation, but at the same time I'm glad he's made the choice to get himself out. It sounds like that is what's best for him.
