vernardThanks to all of you that took time out to wish me a happy birthday. As strange as it sounds, I actualy forgot it was my birthday ! I've been so busy with the phd, with the job at Clayton and with travelling out of town the past two weekends that it completely slipped my mind. Well that and I was terrified of it.
My birthday is always a day of serious introspection to me. I don't celebrate, I think. Really hard and really critically. I'm my hardest critic and I don't pull any punches on that day. And this year I didn't have the energy to fight myself off. So I put it in the back of mind. Pretended that it didn't exist so that I could avoid the fight that I knew I couldn't win.
But the many folks that called, emailed, posted on LJ and such reminded me that while I am my own worst critic, I have perhaps the best fan club in the world to balance it out. You folks are wonderful and I truly appreciate and love you all. Makes it that much easier to handle the next 364 days ahead.
