2012

I'm about to head off to the first day of work in 2012. Depending on who you listen to it, 2012 is the supposed end of the world. How convenient it would be if that were true.

What would you do if you were certain it was the end of the world? Would you descend into total anarchy? Or would you use each day as if it were the most precious thing ever.

I guess what really matters is not whether it IS the end of the wolrd this year but whether you live like it is.

Happy New Year.

Every day would be precious at that point, especially the ones before September.

From an anarchistic/Crowleyist perspective, I dare say those two options are not mutually exclusive. "'Do what thou wilt' shall be the whole of the law."

I would probably participate in various high risk hobbies, like race car driving, parachuting (for real - not the indoor sky diving I have done), and other extreme sports since, even if I died doing them, I would only be shortening my life by months, not years. Either that or rent out a mansion and adopt 100+ cats and just spend the rest of my days playing with all of them :).

I would tell my job and all my "commitments" to shove it and I would spend time with my family doing fun things that we have always wanted to do.
