be afraid. be VERY afraid....
Dec. 2nd, 2008 03:19 pmMy mother, who has been legally blind for the last few years due to diabetic retinopathy and cataracts just got back from the eye doctor.
The doctor said based on today's exam, her eyes have mostly recovered and said there was no reason why she couldn't drive if she didn't want to.
My mother has basically been a prisoner of her own house for the past 4 years or so (hell, maybe 7) due to her bad eyesight. this will give her the freedom to actually go somewhere if she wants to.
now of course, i wonder how well she can really see. And also, how well she will drive since its been so long since she last drove.
But this could be a very good way for her to get her life back. Either that or it just got a helluva lot more dangerous to be driving on the roads of Hogansville. :)
