Get your FREAK on!
Jan. 31st, 2007 05:39 pmKick off Founders Week activities at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, February 1.
“Freakonomics” by Steve Levitt
at the Glenn Auditorium
Steve Levitt has been called the Indiana Jones of economists. In his intensely curiosity-driven new book, FREAKONOMICS, this University of Chicago professor explores the hidden side of everything— the inner workings of a crack gang, the truth about real estate agents, the myths of campaign finance, the tell-tale marks of a cheating schoolteacher, the secrets of the Ku Klux Klan, and much more. What unites all these stories is a belief that the modern world, despite a surfeit of obfuscation, complication, and downright deceit, is not impenetrable, is not unknowable, and — if the right questions are asked — is even more intriguing than we think!
Book signing to follow the lecture.

I’m going to be there. Now I just have to figure out who I loaned my copy of the book out too.
