never used it... how bad is it?

Its actually not that bad. However, it does force you to look/view at the concepts of backups a bit differently than on a single machine. For instance, when i wanted to no longer have on machine have direct access to the tape library, I was goign to remove it from the configuration. But by doing so, the internal database would have to purge all backups that have been performed on that machine. So we loose 3 monhts of backup simply for a visual configuration. We chose to not remvoe it and just not USE it for backups anymore. But still, its kinda annoying.

ah, cool. I use Backup Exec all over the place, kinda like it, though it's quite simple.

btw, I tend to be on IM between 10p-8a. So good luck finding me there. But maybe we can get breakfast at the Bisquick or something sometime.

Let's not be so specific:

I hate computers.
