I sometimes long for the days of text only consoles and no mice. Speed and accuracy in typing were king.

Date: 2005-08-17 06:05 pm (UTC)Yeah, there are days when I long for pure text and no spam... although between being able to download a whole CD in something resembling a reasonable amount of time and what those old unshielded CRT's did to my thyroid, I'm not so sure... and I always admire those who can and do still bend it the old-fashioned way. (which reminds me, I should learn how to do UUCP some time.)
But I still enjoy being able to tell those young whippersnappers lusting after fiber-to-the-desktop that I remember when we had 300 baud and liked it...
