Well, I also like to present the other or perhaps I should say "rest" of the story. Draconian techniques may corral programmers but they can also give them an advantage as well. For example, its easier to migrate them all en masse to a new environment.
Takea a gander at a very plausible reason for Apple's decision OTHER than just to piss off Adobe.
